Blue Ivy Marijuana Shows Up In LA

.
Beyonce and Jay-Z’s new baby may have a serious legacy already, but here’s something to add: A new type of marijuana called Blue Ivy has been popping up in pot stores around Los Angeles.
.
TMZ reports that multiple shops around town have been spotted selling a new strain of pot called “OG Blue Ivy.” Obviously this is not a sanctioned strain of pot, but none of the dispensaries are in trouble for using the name– yet. It’s certainly a clever marketing ploy (especially since apparently some spots have the strain on sale today for the holiday) but Jay-Z probably doesn’t want drugs named after his child.
.
Blue Ivy, who became the youngest person to ever to score a song on the Billboard charts for her inclusion in Hova’s new “Glory,” is also affecting her father’s legacy. Jay-Z has reportedly vowed to stop using the word “bitch” in his lyrics now that he has a daughter. According to NME, Jay released a poem for Blue Ivy that reads, “Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/I didn’t think hard about using the word bitch/I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it.” Which is great and all, but why did a take a daughter to make Jay-Z stop calling ladies by the b-word?
.
Now if you’ll excuse us we need to go try to find a bag of OG Blue Ivy.
